August 2025 International Gambling Trends: Slots Keep Dominating While Table Games Stay Silent

It’s that time of the month when we, at Casin.com, the leading online casino portal, turn our focus to Latin America to find out which games captured players’ attention in August 2025. Thanks to new insights from Betsson Group, we get a snapshot of the top-performing online casino games across five markets: Argentina, Brazil, Chile, Colombia, and Mexico.

Let’s dive into the details and see how things shifted – and what stayed the same.

Argentina

Hot Hot Fruit kept its #1 position in Argentina for the third consecutive month, solidifying its top position among local players. Meanwhile, Book of the Fallen climbed back into the top 3 after being absent in July, and Big Bass Bonanza held steady at #2, continuing its solid performance across multiple months.

This combination of titles confirms the continued popularity of fruit-themed and fishing-themed slots in the country, especially those from Pragmatic Play.

Brazil

In Brazil, Big Bass Amazon Xtreme maintained its top spot position for a second month in a row. Big Bass Splash also made its way into the top 3 again, marking Brazil as the only country this month with two “Bass” titles in the top rankings.

Fire Hot 100, a familiar favorite in Brazil’s charts, reappeared in third place after a short break in July, bringing back the classic fruit-themed vibe.

Chile

Chile saw Big Bass Amazon Xtreme climb back to the top position after slipping in July. The game also appeared in the top 3 back in June and May, signaling a strong popularity with this title.

Meanwhile, Money Train 3 and Fire Hot 100 rounded out the top 3 – both returning after a month’s absence. The rotation suggests Chilean players remain loyal to a core set of slot titles, with occasional reshuffling rather than dramatic shifts.

Colombia

Colombia’s top 3 this month included two returning titles – Big Bass Amazon Xtreme and Fire Hot 100both of which had dropped out of July’s rankings. The reappearance of these Pragmatic Play slots marks a return to more stable patterns, in contrast to the country’s more volatile rankings in earlier months.

Sweet Bonanza, another long-time favorite, completed the top 3, reflecting a continued preference for high-variance video slots with colorful visuals and bonus mechanics.

Mexico

In Mexico, Big Bass Bonanza rose to first place again, making it the only country where this variant hit #1 in August. It was joined by Sweet Bonanza and Fire Hot 100, two titles that have appeared regularly through Mexico’s top spots in recent months.

This pattern points to a strong preference for easily recognizable, well-established slots, with Pragmatic Play once again dominating the list.

Where Are the Table Games?

One key trend that continues in August is the absence of table games, like blackjack, roulette, or baccarat, from the top 3 in all five countries. This trend has been largely consistent since April, with Mexico in June being the only recent exception, when blackjack briefly returned to the charts.

The consistent dominance of slots suggests that while table games still have their niche, they’re no longer capturing widespread attention in Latin America’s top-performing rankings – at least for now.

As always, these monthly snapshots give us an evolving view of player behavior across Latin America, and we’ll be back next month to see what changes and what stays the same.
